A person familiar with the decision says Temple has made an offer to New York Giants assistant Matt Rhule to become the Owls' new head coach. The person spoke on anonymity Friday because Rhule had not yet formally accepted the position. Rhule was one of the final two candidates for the job. The person said University of Miami defensive coordinator Mark D'Onofrio withdrew from consideration. The Owls are in the market for a coach for the third time in the last three years, following Steve Addazio's departure to Boston College last week. Temple went 4-7 this season after having three straight winning seasons under Addazio and Al Golden.

New York Giants Playoffs: And down the stretch they come....

Frank Gray BGB Editor The Giants season comes to this: three games. They visit the Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Ravens before coming home to host the lowly Eagles. In the words of Meatloaf "two out of three ain't bad". If the Giants take two of those games, the division is all but theirs. There in lies the problem. The Redskins have a much easier road to...

Giants not shy when talking about other teams

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Last January New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck called the Atlanta Falcons' offensive linemen "dirtbags." Earlier this season, Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said San Francisco defensive end Justin Smith "gets away with murder." New York Giants should expect different Atlanta Falcons team than they saw in 2011 Playoffs

Too much of this week’s talk is based on January’s New York Giants’ home playoff win against the Atlanta Falcons at MetLife. It shouldn’t be. Stop with the “two points” talk. It’s nearing the end of the 2012 NFL season and while the Giants are the reigning World Champions, that game was technically a part [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for...

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants: Week 15 NFL Pick

New York Giants (8-5) at Atlanta Falcons (11-2) Every year in the Tom Coughlin era, the Giants have a 2nd half slide. This year has been no different as they started 6-2, but thanks to a 2-3 stretch, they are now 8-5, not bad, but not as good as it once looked...
