Houston Diehards:
Let THAT soak in for a minute.
Obviously, statistics can lie. Strength of opponent certainly plays a part in Houston’s success, but the Texans are taking advantage of the soft part of the schedule, as they should.
The above graphic is a beautiful thing, but let’s not forget the following facts that make this even more astounding:
1. The Texans not only changed defensive coordinators, but completely changed their scheme from a 4-3 to a 3-4.
2. They did not have a full offseason to install the new system.
3. They are missing arguably their best defensive player in Mario Williams (Brian Cushing may now be taking that title over from Mario).
4. There was a new starter at every position but one in 2011. (Two new safeties, one new corner, all four linebackers playing new positions – similar for DeMeco Ryans, but not the same – all three defensive linemen playing new positions. Of course Antonio Smith played 3-4 DE in Arizona, but we’re talking about the dif...

Seven Reasons Why the Houston Texans Defense is First in the NFL
As much of a Houston Texans fan as I am…this was my birthday present this year —>…there is no way I could have ever had predicted that the Texans defense would have transformed as it has. What was the 30th ranked defense in the league (and was laughable at best) has now become the top ranked defense. It almost appears that someone flipped a switch and the Texans...
Matt Schaub Hits Security Guard In the ****
I know the Texans were playing the Browns and the game probably wasn't especially interesting, but she's has one of the best view in the house and is day-dreaming. Texans try to build on 6-3 start

Foster, Tate top 100 yards in Texans' 30-12 win
Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak still found flaws in his team despite another dominant performance.
If they keep playing like they did against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, he may soon run out of areas to criticize.
Arian Foster rushed for 124 yards, Ben Tate ran for 115 and both scored touchdowns in leading Houston to a 30-12 victory over the Browns.

Former Houston Texans GM Charley Casserly doesn’t trust NFL fans to their own judgement
NFL fans are rabid about collecting information. Former NFL General Manager of the Houston Texans doesn’t think that average fans should get access to NFL film. The Wall Street Journal had an article last week about how the NFL keeps coverage of each NFL game hidden from access to average fans. The league owns the NFL Network which is the most widely successful of any of the...
The Houston Texans Make a Push for the Elite.
It looks like the Houston Texans are finally gaining some respect.
After dispatching numerous quality teams and barely falling short to an up and down New Orleans Saints team due to a furious drive by star QB Drew Brees, the Texans are ripe to conquer a rather underwhelming AFC South and make a push for playoff supremacy.
The Houston Texans have gotten it done on the ground at will...
