The guy can just not catch a break.  Former Rimington Award winner (nation’s top center) A.Q. Shipley was placed on waivers by the Colts earlier today. The move comes just one day Shipley made the active roster on game day for the first time in his three-year career. The Colts signed former Steeler Trai Essex in lieu of waiving him. It finally appeared as if he had caught on with a team when he signed with the Colts back in January. He played well enough in the preseason to earn himself the backup center gig in Indy, which seemed promising considering the youngin’ they have quarterbacking there now. Apparently, the excitement was shortlived and Shipley will have to find a new home in the NFL. The 26-year-old’s NFL career has been rather disappointing. He has been on 3 teams during his tenure in the league, but has never made it past the practice squad before this year. He was drafted in the 7th round back in 2009 to the Steelers, where he spent 1 season before being cut. F...

Wayne makes Team of the Week

ProFootballFocus loved Reggie Wayne, and graded him highest out of all wide receivers last week, and also included him in <a href="http://www.coltsauthority.com/If you look at Donald Brown's stats from Sunday's game, you would have plenty of ammunition for the "Boom-or-Bust" label that so many have affixed to him. Nine runs. Five runs of a yard or less...

Luck relies heavily on Fleener in debut

The Indianapolis Colts spent their first two picks in the draft on college teammates in hopes that it would ease their transition to the NFL. And so far, it seems to have worked. Andrew Luck was shaky in his debut, but he definitely looked comfortable working with Coby Fleener. While Reggie Wayne was understandably Luck’s go-to receiver, he also targeted Fleener 10 times on...

Indianapolis Colts: 2012 Week 2 Power Rankings (#20)

Last week: 18 (-2) Record: 0-1 No shame in losing to the Bears, who might be the best team in football.
