The New England Patriots defense took on a different look once cornerback Aqib Talib was brought in midseason for a 4th round draft pick from the Tampa Buccaneers. The Patriots defense could defend the pass and play man to man, allowing more pressure schemes for the front seven. As evidenced in Seattle, the growing trend is the tall athletic cornerback that can shut a premier receiver down. The question is, now that the season is over, and Talib is scheduled for unrestricted free agency, will the Patriots try to sign him? He’s been injury prone, but when he was out there, he was a difference maker is large proportions. Talib doesn’t know if he’ll be back, but he’s enjoyed his time here, and sounds like he open to returning for the right price. "I'm not really worried about all that right now," he said Monday. "Like you said, the game was 12 hours ago. I'm in the training room with the guys; we're having fun right now. I'm still a Patriot. Free agency doesn't start 'til March, so until then I'm still a Patriot and just enjoying my time," according to Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com. "Man, I had a lot of fun here man," he said. "Definitely enjoyed my time here, we'll see what happens in the future, but I definitely had the most fun I've had playing football in a long time here." "Man, that was the worst way to go out in any game, let alone the AFC Championship," he said. "This is one of the best teams in the league," he said. "Y'all know that."
