NFL Draft Zone:
Although OC Kevin Gilbride and Running backs coach Jerald Ingram continue to profess a lack of faith in David Wilson, coach Tom Coughlin is prescribing an increased role for the rookie.”We need to get him more involved,” said Coughlin, “and we will get him more involved.” Wilson is unlikely to play on passing downs or at the goal line, leaving him as nothing more than a roster stash. He will likely see a handful of package plays designed to take advantage of his homerun-hitting ability. It’s another bad sign for Ahmad Bradshaw’s already shaky fantasy value.
When Wilson gets his hand on the ball he is explosive. If he does gain a little confidence he could become a huge asset for the struggling G-Men.
David Wilson says he doesn’t know why the Giants’ staff doesn’t trust him in pass protection. The coaches banged Wilson for not being a complete back prior to the bye. “When you say show more, do more, you wonder, ‘Where?’” Wilson said. “I mean, I work hard at practice and do my plays when I’m in and, so, (I’m) waiting.” Wilson said he doesn’t think he has missed a single blitz pickup since training camp ended.

Eli Manning had a dead arm, but is feeling better. Justin Tuck is telling his teammates it’s time to focus after admitting the Giants kind of took their eyes off the prize.

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (knee) participated in practice on Monday and says he feels great after the bye week. “I’m pretty close,” Nicks said regarding being 100 percent. “This is as close as I’m gonna be. If this is it, this is 100 percent.” If the Giants are going to have a chance at beating the Packers this Sunday night, they’re going to need Nicks...

What’s wrong with the Giants? That’s what everyone is asking. Well, they do this every year. Since Tom Coughlin took over, the Giants are 53-19 in the first 8 games of a season and 27-39 in the last 8 games of the season, including these last 2 losses. Eli Manning has been the main problem of late and not just in the 2 losses....
