The Bengals might be in need of some help at the running back position when Cedric Benson serves his 3 game suspension. Tuesday the Bengals worked out Clinton Portis according to Jason LaCanfora.
I am not sure if the Bengals are serious about signing Portis, but if they are he would not be a good pick up for this team. The Bengals already have 2 solid backs in Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard who are both younger and more explosive then the aging Portis.
