PFW says that it’s not out of the question that the Ravens are going to try and get back Marc Bulger as a backup QB.
The conventional wisdom is that Ravens free agent QB Marc Bulger is likely to sign elsewhere if a starting job presents itself but a daily team observer says that the Ravens re-signing him cannot be ruled out if other starting jobs dry up — or just don’t appeal to him. Pro Football Weekly is told the Ravens definitely would welcome Bulger, who’s regarded as one of the NFL’s top reserves and a capable starter, back for 2011. Bulger, 34, didn’t throw a pass in 2010, with Joe Flacco starting every game. If Bulger is back, the Ravens likely would be out of the market for another quarterback, with sixth-round pick Tyrod Taylor having a chance to stick as the No. 3 quarterback. Hunter Cantwell, who spent last season on the practice squad, is also in the mix.
