Arian Foster spun his NFL domination to a bit part in CBS' hit show "Hawaii 5-0" earlier this year.

Now he's taken it a step further -- to the silver screen.

KTRK-TV in Houston reports the Texans' Pro Bowl running back has landed a role in Kevin Costner's upcoming big-budget film, "Draft Day."

Foster will play the part of fictional NFL draft prospect Ray Jennings, with Costner starring as Browns general manager Sonny Weaver, who "has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick."

The film will begin shooting during Thursday's draft and features several other NFLers, including DeMario Davis, James Brewer, Ramses Barden, Zoltan Mesko, and Stephen Hill. Various ESPN and NFL Network personalities -- Jon Gruden, Mike Mayock, Deion Sanders, Rich Eisen, Mel Kiper and Chris Berman -- will also make appearances.

Like his preparation for game days, Foster is taking his part seriously, reportedly shaving his beard in an effort to look younger.

It's an ironic -- and likely fulfilling -- role for Foster, who famously went undrafted in 2009. He's since landed a $43.5 million contract from the Texans, but you can't put a price on redemption -- scripted or not.
