Looks like someone jumped the gun in their report that Arian Foster will 'likely' undergo a heart procedure to fix an irregular heart beat that existed since he was a child.
That person, Alex Flanagan of the NFL Network, reported the news on Thursday, and everyone ran with it, including us.
“Thank you for all the concern,” Foster, flanked by GM Rick Smith, said during an appearance on Radio Row, via the Houston Chronicle.
“As of now, I have no complications with my blood pumper. I have not, nor do I plan, any time in the near future to have conversations with my doctors about any surgery.”
“There was a casual conversation with a reporter about my particular condition that turned public,” Foster said. “I am feeling well and am as exuberant as ever.”
GM Smith added, “We’re comfortable with where he is.... our medical team continues to monitor it. He missed one-half of a practice and one-half of a game, and our doctors treated him. … He’s fine.”
