Many NFL pundits aren’t giving the Texans much of a chance in their return trip to New England this weekend, not after stumbling to a 42-14 loss less than a month ago. Texans running back Arian Foster is soaking in all the doubt, though, and using it as motivation for his rematch with the Patriots. Foster, who is very active on social media, changed his Twitter avatar to a photo of a column calling out Foster and his teammates which was written by Dan Shaughnessy of The Boston Globe. In the column, Shaughnessy all but guarantees a win for the Patriots on Sunday while also referring to the Texans as “fraudulent” and likening them to “tomato cans” ready to be shot down. He even goes as far to say “could this get any easier?” when referencing the Patriots’ chances of winning on Sunday. Bill Belichick is normally not one to give the opposing team bulletin board material, but in this case Shaugnessy was the one grabbing the push pin for prime placement inside the Texans’ locker room. Belichick can’t be too happy about that. After running off for 174 total yards and a touchdown on Sunday, Foster seems physically ready for another shot at the Patriots’ defense, and this column will only add to his already burning desire for redemption. Check out Foster’s new Twitter avatar in the photo below, or jump over to his Twitter page.
