With the Kansas City Chiefs the frontrunner and likely trade partner with the San Francisco 49ers, that won't stop the Arizona Cardinals from at least inquiring about trading for QB Alex Smith.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported on "NFL Total Access" that "the Cardinals are interested in Smith, but they are extremely pessimistic a deal with the Niners will happen because they share the same division."
A source describes the situation to Rapoport as "Nothing to lose."
He's also been told that the Cleveland Browns are also "in the picture."
