There is just no getting away from it – the Arizona Cardinals' offense stinks. It's really amazing they are 4-1 this season, it really is.
You can thank the team's defense and special teams for that.
Look how bad these statistics are – Arizona's offense ranks next-to-last in the league, averaging just 273.2 yards per game. They have not hit the 300-yard mark this season. That's really incredible. Led by the under-achieving Ryan Williams, the Red Birds rushing attack ranks 31st overall, averaging just 63.4 yards per game.
Ouch.
So what is Ken Whisenhunt to do? He needs to shore up the offensive line so they can create running lanes for Ryan Williams and also keep Kevin Kolb from spending half the game on his back. Kolb has been sacked an incredible 17 times his last two games, the most any quarterback has been sacked over two games in the last decade.
