Cardinals go back to Skelton at quarterback
TEMPE, Ariz. If timing is everything, then Ken Whisenhunts machinery could use some fine-tuning. When it comes to quarterbacks, the Cardinals coachs internal clock seems a bit off.
In the latest turn in the Cardinals 3-year-old quarterback saga, Whisenhunt announced Wednesday that John Skelton will resume his role as the clubs starting quarterback when the club faces Seattle on...
Larry Fitzgerald: "It's been a struggle for eight weeks"
The Arizona Cardinals started out 4-0 and it looked as if the red birds had arrived. However, 8 straight losses has sent the feel good story to an almost tearjerker. “You gotta laugh to keep from crying,”
Kolb the Cards' only hope now, in near future
TEMPE, Ariz. At the risk of stating the obvious, the Cardinals need quarterback Kevin Kolb to play. Now. Not to save the season; thats already gone. To save morale. To save coach Ken Whisenhunts job. To keep alive whatever shred of hope remains for this franchise.
We have no idea how much pain Kolb is still experiencing. He just smiles and repeats the same vague answers when we...
Is Whisenhunt status shaky as bad season worsens?
The Arizona Cardinals offense has been bad this season, but never worse than it was on Sunday.
Its performance in the 7-6 loss to the New York Jets was among the worst in the team's history, and that's saying something for a franchise that's had a lot of bad Sundays.
The team had five first downs, tied for fewest in franchise history, was 0 for 15 on third-down conversions...
Arizona's Dockett says he's apologized to Rhodes
Arizona defensive tackle Darnell Dockett says he's apologized to teammate Kerry Rhodes for the pair's on-field run-in during the waning seconds of last Sunday's loss to the New York Jets.
Dockett says Rhodes has forgiven him and the pair is moving on.
What Dockett described as a ''very heated argument'' stemmed from Rhodes trying to persuade him to allow...
Cardinals' Rhodes confirms tiff with Dockett
Arizona safety Kerry Rhodes has confirmed he had a run-in with teammate Darnell Dockett at the end of Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Rhodes says in an email released by the Cardinals that there was an on-field ''disagreement'' but emphatically denies a report that Dockett spit in his face and says the two have agreed to move on.
The dispute reportedly...
Cardinals Release TE Todd Heap
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Arizona Cardinals have released TE Todd Heap.
Heap, 32, has been inactive for 10 straight games, despite the fact that he’s no longer dealing with issues related to a previous knee injury that he suffered. Heap apparently hasn’t been able to practice at full speed, which is why the team had held him out of game-action.
It’s hard to imagine...
Spit spat aftermath: Still much confusion
TEMPE, Ariz. Maybe somebody should roll out Herman Edwards infamous postgame press conference for Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.
You play to win the game! Hello?! You play to win the game!
Give Dockett credit for facing the media on Wednesday, as a team captain should do. Give Dockett credit for apologizing to teammate Kerry Rhodes for an altercation of which details...

Cardinals Release TE Todd Heap
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals have parted ways with veteran tight end Todd Heap.
Heap has been bothered by a knee injury suffered in Week 2 in a win over the New England Patriots and hasn't played since.
In two games this season, Heap caught eight passes for 94 yards. In his injury-plagued two-season stint with Arizona, Heap had 32 receptions...
Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt Not Prepared To Name Starting QB Against Seahawks
Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt wasnt prepared to name his starting quarterback for Sundays game at Seattle, saying he and his staff would watch tape from their 7-6 loss to the New York Jets before determining whether to stick with rookie Ryan Lindley, Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic reports.
Its doubtful Whisenhunt would turn to John Skelton, however. If he didnt...

#Cards starting QB John Skelton this week vs Seattle.
— Mike Jurecki (@mikejurecki) December 5, 2012
Given that Ryan Lindley appears to be one of the worst quarterbacks in NFL, this moves makes plenty of sense, even though you could argue that Skelton is also...
John Skelton to start for Cardinals in Week 14
The Ryan Lindley experiment at quarterback is over. John Skelton will start for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 at Seattle.
Despite the struggles of Lindley, 10-of31 with a interception, the Cardinals never considered allowing Skelton to play in last weeks loss to the New York Jets. During that game the Jets replaced a struggling Mark Sanchez at quarterback and won with third string...

After being pulled late in week 13′s matchup against the capricious Arizona Cardinals after throwing his third INT and generally being ineffective, Sanchez will get yet another shot in the saddle.
