The search continues. For a head coach. And a general manager too. The Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden this week regarding their head coaching vacancy. Former head coach Ken Whisenhunt was fired on Dec. 31. Gruden, 45, is the younger brother of former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden. He has been the offensive coordinator of the Bengals since 2011. Prior to that, Gruden was the Head Coach and General Manager of the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League in 2010. He also spent seven seasons as an offensive assistant with the Bucs from 2002-08. The Philadelphia Eagles have also expressed interest in speaking to Gruden regarding their vacant head coaching position left open after Andy Reid was fired last week. Regarding their search for a new general manager to replace Rod Graves, the Cardinals interviewed Washington Redskins executive Morocco Brown in Washington, D.C. this past Friday. Cardinals Vice P...

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden is open to returning to the NFL, but only for the right job, ESPN’s Ron Jaworski said on WPEN-WF Philadelphia on Monday. "He's had numerous meetings that he's told teams he's not interested in certain jobs," Jaworski said of his ESPN colleague. "There are jobs he's interested...

Jon Gruden attends WWE RAW instead of watching BCS game (Video)

Jon Gruden must have known a blowout was coming in the BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame, because he was sitting in the first row at WWE “RAW” on Monday night instead. USA’s cameras showed Chucky and a young boy going nuts in the crowd during the show in Tampa on Monday. Chucky showed the type of excitement that he usually reserves for when he...

NFL Rumors: Jon Gruden to the Cleveland Browns, again?

Jon Gruden has been linked to virtually every coaching vacancy in the college and professional ranks in the last few years after he joined the broadcast booth. This year, reports have suggested that Gruden may indeed be willing to re-join the sidelines as his time away from the game might make his coach relevancy less important. Gruden has a premiere job, siting alongside Mike Tirico...

Laying odds on Lovie as next Eagles head coach...

You can find betting odds on just about everything in pro football---even the odds that your favorite candidate for the Eagles HC position will actually get the job. While I was making a small wager that the Baltimore Ravens would cover their 9.5 point underdog spread in Denver this coming Saturday at "NFL Playoff Betting Trends" directed to http://www.sportsbetting.ag...

Well, We're Waiting...

I know I haven't made an official post since Norv and AJ were canned on New Year's Eve.  According to NFL Playoff Betting Lines, Denver is favored to win it all.  While they're the only team I don't want to see win the Super Bowl, I can't really get too upset about it.  I wrote a piece over at Bleacher Report on the quandry over how much of an effect a coach...
