Smith impressed the Cardinals after working out in a practice last week. In return for this addition, Arizona released WR Auden Tate.
Brandon Smith played two seasons on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad before heading over to the XFL in 2022. In four games with the D.C. Defenders, he recorded eight receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Over the past few months, the Cardinals have added plenty of height to their wide receiving core.
Whether through the draft or free agency, the #AZCardinals have added five new wide receivers to the roster.
All five are taller than 6-feet:
Zach Pascal, 6-2
Brandon Smith, 6-2
Michael Wilson, 6-2
Daniel Arias, 6-3
Brian Cobbs, 6-1— Arizona Cardinals Insiders (@AZCardsInsiders) June 12, 2023
Stay tuned for more updates, as training camp for the Cardinals is just around the corner.
