AZ Cardinals Report:
During the middle of practice Wednesday night at Coconino High, Arizona Cardinals’ tight end Ben Patrick injured his left knee after being tackled from behind. The field at the High School is an artificial surface, but isn’t said to be the reason for his injury.
After a short pass caught in the middle, cornerback Greg Toler immediately jumped on the back of Patrick. In obvious pain he needed help off of the field, reports say that Patrick was able to put a little weight on the knee later in the night.
Patrick was scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sprained left knee Wednesday night, the team should know more about the injury sometime Thurdsay.
General Manager Rod Graves said the injury might not be as serious as it first appeared but that wouldn’t be determined until further examination.
Ben Patrick is the team’s starting tight end, as well as best all-around tight end.
