Cameron Wake is probably the most notable example. A player who's gone from the CFL to the NFL, and become a star. Wake didn't get much of a shot in the NFL at first, but he's proving why that was a mistake. After being cut in his first year with the Giants, Wake signed with the CFL two years later. He was named rookie of the year and defensive player of the year and after two seasons, he signed with the Dolphins in the NFL. All as he's done there is become one of the dominating pass rushers in the entire league, knotching double digit sacks in two of his four seasons. The Patriots have signed a guy that could very well become the next Cameron Wake. We've already covered Armond Armstead here at PatriotsLife but an interview with the Toronto Argonauts GM by Mike Reiss really got me even more excited about this guy. “I don’t think it’s very often that an NFL team can get a first-round pick without using a first-round pick" was the eye catching quote here. ...

If I were Jeff Ireland……….Part 3 (Who to draft)

Alright Dolphins fans, this is the third and final installment of our offseason plan.  The Dolphins haven’t even gotten to the point where they have resigned any of their own free agents and we’re about to finish our full offseason plan.  Can you tell we’re anxious for the offseason to get underway?!  If you missed Part 1 or Part 2 of our plans, you can click on here for...

Revis Island could be traded, but not to the Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have to make some tough decisions in the near future regarding their own players.  One player, that I’ve found to be pretty polarizing with the fan base is Sean Smith.  Some Dolphins fans think Smith is worth of a Pro Bowl birth, while others think the Dolphins should move on from the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent.  Personally, I’m in between, but reside...

Patriots sign another CFL player

Only a few days after signing Toronto Argonauts stud D-lineman Armond Armstead, the Patriots set their sights on another CFL player; DE/OLB Jason Vega of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. According to NBCSports.com the deal is not yet official because the Blue Bombers have not officially given clearance, but it is more than likely going to go through. The reported three-year deal is said...

Report: Patriots to Sign CFL Linebacker and Brockton Native Jason Vega

After spending the last few years north of the border, Jason Vega is coming home. The Boston Globe reports that the Patriots have agreed to terms with the linebacker/defensive end, who is coming off two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. Joining the Pats will bring Vega back not only to his home country but to his home state, as well. The 25-year...

Tom Brady’s New Mansion Has A Moat (Photos)

To loosely quote Drake ‘Just bought a crib so big it came with a moat’. When you’re Tom Brady rich, things like $10,000 fines for unnecessary roughness and such, are kinda like chump change. The Detroit Free Press obtained photos of the $20 million mega-mansion in Southern California. Here’s some brief details of the near mythical in size abode Among the many features in...

Tom Brady’s $20 Million Mansion Has a Moat… Whatever

Tom Brady’s $20 Million compound is finally done after three years of construction reports The Detroit Free Press. The compound is a mere 22,000 square feet and has a damn moat. Most importantly, Gisele Bündchen will be living there. [Sportress of Blogitude] var conf_57728 = { APIKey: '2_N1YlfjHIEAtyRAK3CAYRE5a1aBuANuMOCLc_7hsOQ13HnwCrW_u-6OuDhjC7vR06 ', ...

Brian Hartline will reportedly look to earn $5-$6 million per year

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline will look to earn $5-$6 million per year as he gets ready to hit the free agent market. The Dolphins will have to decide whether or not it makes sense for them to pay a number two wide receiver that kind of money when they still need a number one target for quarterback Ryan Tannehill.    ...

Should the Patriots go after Darrelle Revis?

Could the Patriots make a move for Darrelle Revis? After reports that the New York Jets are open to trading super-stud cornerback Darrelle Revis surfaced Wednesday night, I began to think, “Is it fathomable to think Darrelle Revis could end up in a Patriots uniform come September?” Of course, it would be tough to see the Jets trade their best player to their hated in-division...

Tom Brady's new $20 million mansion includes a moat. Yep, a moat.

Tom Brady's NFL season ended earlier than anticipated when the Baltimore Ravens went into Foxborough and stunned the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship on Sunday. But, even though Brady is disappointed in the loss, I'm pretty sure he'll go on just fine. I mean, for one, he's married to Gisele. And now he gets to live with her in the awesome new mansion...

Tom Brady’s New House Has A Moat Because Why Not

A moat is worthless unless it’s filled with crocodiles, piranhas and evil Aquaman to prevent Bernard Pollard from terrorizing Brady and Gisele. How great would it be if he cloned himself into an army and attacked the Brady estate. Imagine something along the lines of Army of Darkness. This is my boomstick!

Patriots QB Tom Brady Fined 10k for Slide into Ed Reed

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was fined $10,000 by the National Football League earlier this week for his aggressive spikes-up slide into Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed during Sunday’s AFC Championship game, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
