In this unpredictably wild season, nothing is certain.
Craziness has become the theme of 2012, and week six exemplified that.
Up 24-0 at home, Norv Turner and the San Diego Chargers had the Monday Night game in the bag. That was until Peyton Manning and the Broncos stormed back to make history, becoming the first team to be down 24 points and still win by double digits.
The 35-24 Broncos win was indeed miraculous, but the Chargers’ collapse was self-inflicted. Quarterback Philip Rivers turned the ball over six times, costing his team the game.
Denver wasn’t the only team to make a furious comeback; the Detroit Lions also beat the odds in their dramatic comeback win over Philadelphia. Down 23-13 with less than five minutes to play, Matthew Stafford caught fire and brought the Lions back to tie in regulation. From there, the defense took over, sacking Michael Vick on the first two plays of overtime before forcing an Eagles’ punt from their own end zone.

Before Peyton Manning led the Broncos’ comeback on Monday Night Football, he had to provide us with some comic relief. If I had four neck surgeries, I probably wouldn’t be too keen about throwing my body in front of linebackers blocking on a Pick 6. Let’s be honest, Peyton Manning isn’t never going to be Peyton Manning of old, but you know who he reminds me of? Muhammad Ali...

Well, there can’t be too many positive things to say about the San Diego Chargers and the pathetic second-half meltdown on Monday Night.
The talk on sports radio has been that head coach Norv Turner and general manager AJ Smith are dead men walking and it would be a miracle if they keep their jobs at the end of the season – if they even make it that far.
AJ Smith himself agrees...
If anyone doubted Peyton Manning, they had better put them away as the Sheriff is back in town. Manning saw his Broncos get behind and completely outplayed in the first half, trailing 24-0 and no hope in sight, but like in other games this season, the “Sheriff” as people call Manning, stepped up and took the team on his back… again as the Broncos along with 6 Charger turnovers...
We are nearly two weeks away from the NFL’s halfway mark.
There have already been several teams and players that have certainly turned in disappointing returns based on what we knew of them or what was expected of them.
Certain situations such as the Dallas Cowboys were not included because they are expected to let their fans down. Therefore, being a disappointment is not disappointing...
SAN DIEGO By all accounts, nobody in the Denver Broncos locker room put his fist through a blackboard at halftime Monday night. Nobody yelled and screamed, or kicked over a water cooler.
The Broncos, trailing by 24 points at halftime, were surprisingly calm. But it did not mean they were not filled with regret.
Omar Bolden was sorry he fumbled a kickoff. Trindon Holliday lamented...
Down 24-0 at halftime, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos reveled after one of the biggest comebacks in NFL regular-season history.
On the flip side, the San Diego Chargers were saddled with an enormous collapse.

It's a passing league - no secret to anyone. But the Broncos may have been onto something last year. While teams shift to passing offenses, the Broncos could have doubled down on being a power run team and been competitive. Defenses are being built to stop passing attacks, not the University of Nebraska rushing attack of the 80s. While I think some team will eventually...
