SteelBlitz Steelers Blog:
As was expected Ben Roethlisberger and Cortez Allen will both be starting on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. Roethlisberger missed the last two games and Allen is moving up in the depth chart due to an injury to starting corner back Ike Taylor. Allen replaced Ike Taylor early in the Steelers 23-20 victory over the Ravens. Taylor has a small fracture in his ankle and is expected to miss 2-6 weeks and while he is out Allen will take over. Keenan Lewis will remain in his spot and Curtis Brown, who was drafted along with Allen last year, will take Allen’s spot. Cortez Allen was considered a reach in the fourth round of the 2011 draft. Allen played college football at the Citadel and was expected to be a project player that wouldn’t see NFL action for a year or two. However, Allen was a quick learner and saw some defensive snaps as a rookie. Curtis Brown, who was drafted one round before Allen, was expected to be the more polished player, but never saw the defensive side of the ba...

Handicapping Steelers players for fantasy purposes has been tricky business lately. For instance, no one imagined that Charlie Batch would connect with four different receivers five times for nearly 300 yards passing last week. He was a stellar option in daily fantasy sports contests where he was available at an incredibly cheap salary relative to other quarterbacks.
In Week 14...
