TEAMS: New York Jets
We all knew it was coming. Reports were already out that New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum would be fired, with head coach Rex Ryan's future a little uncertain, although it was assumed he'd be safe. Those early reports turned out to be true, as Jets owner Woody Johnson made his official announcement today: "Our 2012 season was a disappointment to all of us.  My goal every year as owner is to build a team that wins consistently.  This year, we failed to achieve that goal", Johnson said via the team's website. "This morning, I informed Mike Tannenbaum that he will not return for the 2013 season.  Mike devoted 15 years of service to the Jets, and I want to thank him for his hard work and dedication.  Although he helped guide us to two consecutive AFC Championship games, we are not where we want to be, and a new General Manager will be critical to getting this team back on the right track. Starting immediately, we will conduct a search for a new General M...

  • The jets organization are a Ship of Fools....keeping the resident moron at headcoach will prove to be just one mistake in a long line of mistakes this team has made. But hell, the jets are good for comic relief if nothing else. Woody Johnson has NO BALLS and the jets will once again fail in the AFC East again next year. Maybe they'll even keep Mark 'Butt Fumble' Sanchez also, what a joke.

Turner isn’t a very good head coach, but he’s been a proven offensive play call for years now.     Need NFL Tickets...

Sanchez, Jets lose finale in Buffalo 28-9

MARK SANCHEZ CAN'T FIND END ZONE AS JETS LOCK UP WORST SEASON IN REX RYAN ERA. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Those who subscribed to the logic that Sunday's regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills would be Mark Sanchez's final "try out" to the organization -- and potentially others -- that he can be a starter in the NFL were disappointed as the clock stuck...

NY Jets coach Rex Ryan admitted he never had confidence in Tim Tebow

Following Sunday’s 28-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills — and an embarrassing 6-10 season — NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan was asked why he never started Tim Tebow as quarterback despite Mark Sanchez’s poor performance on the field. His answer was telling: “I'm trying to win the game, and that's it,” Ryan said. “If I thought Tebow would have helped us win the game...

Black Monday: New York Jets Fire GM Mike Tannenbaum But Retain Rex Ryan

Rex Ryan safe, GM Mike Tannenbaum, OC Tony Sparano fired

Jets announced they fired GM Mike Tannenbaun and are keeping HC Rex Ryan.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 31, 2012Well this is bad news for us Patriots fans. Alas, after a terrible collapse of going from...

Tim Tebow to Jacksonville might be a stretch

After doing a little digging, we hear that categorizing his arrival in Jacksonville after the season as imminent is a major stretch. Khan’s prior interest...
