At Patriots OTAs, Wes Welker runs routes… and other stuff!

Out at Patriots OTAs, there was an interesting cameo early on. No, not guard Logan Mankins, who was still among the missing. But Wes Welker was here. Not just here. Running routes, taking part in drills, wearing a brace but looking good. Ginger, sure, but he was here. Welker left after the first 20 minutes then returned to watch. What else? –Tom Brady looked sharp in passing drills, though his shaggy hair makes me think he needs a haircut. He was vocal and amped up, too, moreso than I remember. – You gotta love when drills end and NT Vince Wilfork was sprinting out in front of the whole group. The big man can rumble. – S Patrick Chung wore a non-contact red jersey (not that there was any contact). He had a splint on his right forearm. – LB Thomas Williams took some reps at fullback, with versatility that could really help him.
