Found February 13, 2013 on The Football Juice:
Two years ago, the Atlanta Falcons went all-in for Julio Jones, trading five picks to move up and grab the National Champion wide-out. It was a clear statement that they felt Jones was the only piece they needed to turn the Falcons into a Super Bowl team. Jones is now a Pro-Bowler, a possible All-Pro, and a thousand yard receiving tandem with Roddy White. The Falcons as a team, though, are once again a 13-3 divisional winner but playoff loser. So, if Jones was not the puzzle piece that completes a championship jigsaw, what is?   The post Atlanta Falcons 2013 Offseason Preview appeared first on The Football Juice.

Atlanta Falcons Mount Rushmore: Four Franchise Icons

Every team in the NFL has a number of players that are considered icons for that team. Some players are currently playing for those teams while others have been out of the league for many years. For most of these players, it does not matter if you were a fan of their team or not, you still know who they are. For instance, the Miami Dolphins have Dan Marino, Larry Csonka, Jason Taylor...

Ex-Falcon Ray Edwards KOs opponent without touching him

In what has to be one of the funniest boxing knockouts— or worst dives— ever, former Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons defensive end Ray Edwards laid out an opponent without even touching the guy. Edwards, who was released by Atlanta in November, gets into the ring with some chubby little guy in a "Co-Main Event" professional boxing match in West Fargo, ND the...

Nicholas Capes, fighter who got knocked about by Ray Edwards’ phantom punch, gets suspended (Video)

Free agent defensive end Ray Edwards has always had a thing for boxing, but I highly doubt he ever thought scoring a knockout could be as easy as it was during a recent match in North Dakota against a “fighter” named Nicholas Capes. The video you see above has gone viral, and it clearly shows Capes taking the dive of the century early in the fight when Edwards missed him with...

Matt Ryan Injury Update

Just because it’s the offseason doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be getting updates on some key fantasy players as they rehab from in season injuries. Ryan was driven into the turf by linebacker Ahmad Brooks just before the final play of the game...

Falcons, Smith are ideal match for long term

ATLANTA When Falcons owner Arthur Blank sifted through the rubble that was his team following the 2007 season Michael Vick off to jail, Bobby Petrino quitting before the season ended at 4-12 he wanted to achieve one goal above all else: Make the franchise relevant. A Boxing Flop Soccer Players Would Be Proud Of

Former Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards is a boxer, or he would like you to think he is. During his latest fight he fought a last minute opponent who was much smaller, had shorter reach, and had a fairly large belly. That man’s name was Mike Smith, and Miek Smith wanted nothing to do with Ray Edwards. Check out the technically not TKO by Ray with a massive whiff to Mike’s...
