Atlanta Falcons (12-2) Detroit Lions (4-10) Normally I like going against huge line movements because I hate week to week overreactions. This line was Atlanta -1 last week and now it’s at -4.5, skipping over two key numbers of 3 and 4. At first glance, this appears warranted. The Lions got blown out by the crappy Cardinals in Arizona, losing 38-10, while the Falcons got a huge home win over the solid Giants, winning 34-0. However, it’s important to think about what those games really mean. Atlanta definitely proved they can turn it on and not just compete with some of the better teams in the league, but win convincingly, something they hadn’t done all year. There were a lot of reasonable concerns about how their long list of less than convincing victories against mediocre teams would translate into games against tougher opponents, which they really hadn’t had a lot of (Denver way back in week 2 when Peyton Manning wasn’t Peyton Manning yet is the only projected playoff team they’ve ...

Bro With Eli & Peyton Manning Tattooed On His Ass Resurfaces Dropping Trou In Chicago Bar

Why do I get certain emails, like this one, from certain emailers a couple days before Christmas? Because we’re a sports blog that covers things that ESPN won’t touch. It’s been that way since day one way back in 2007. However, this is a first. Emailer Derek B. writes: I have some pictures of the guy with Eli and Peyton Manning tattooed on his ass with Samwell Morgan of What...

Manning's choice added pressure in Denver

(Eds: Updates with quotes, details. With AP Photos.) By EDDIE PELLS AP National Writer Knowing as well as anyone that time is no longer his friend, Peyton Manning went looking for a team last summer. He gambled on the Denver Broncos, and when he signed the contract, the players who were already in Denver got the message: Their new quarterback thought the pieces were in place to...

No surprise here: Fox says Manning is his MVP

Rarely one to talk publicly about the big picture or much beyond winning the next game, Denver coach John Fox weighed in on the interesting race for Most Valuable Player. That race could come down to Peyton Manning of the Broncos vs. old rival Tom Brady of the Patriots and Adrian Peterson of the Vikings. ''Obviously, I'm going to be a little biased,'' Fox said...

Broncos win 10th straight game

DENVER -- Even with the Denver Broncos steamrolling into the playoffs behind his play, Peyton Manning can't bring himself to say he's all the way back from the neck injury that sidelined him during his final season in Indianapolis.
