Listmania has been running a little wild around the NFL lately so I figured it was time for us to get into the action. We put our collective heads together and have come up with the top ten players on the Atlanta Falcons roster according to the Grits Blitz Blog. Number ten was Falcons OL Tyson Clabo. Number nine is someone that was a career back-up before he signed as a free agent with the Falcons in March of 2008.

MichaelTurner1aMichael Turner rumbles past the Packers

In four years with the San Diego Chargers, Michael Turner ran for 1257 yards and 6 TD. In his first season with the Falcons, Turner 1699 and 17 TD. Since coming over to Atlanta, Turner has ran for 5281 yards and 50 TD in four regular season games. Turner has been a vital part of the Atlanta offense. With Dirk Koetter coming in as the Falcons new offensive coordinator, it's yet to be seen just how focal Turner will be with the offense. Here is what the guys had to say about "The Burner":

Eric: As he goes, so does the offense. His ability isn't what it was in his first 3 years, but will still carry the load. I expect him to play less of a role as the offense works to be more effective in the face of top defenses.

Joe: Turner remains the Falcons’ best tailback in an organization that thrives on the power run game. Turner remains a legitimate threat to pound the football and average 100 yards per game. He has lost some overall distance speed and quickness but he can still break off 20-40 yard runs.

Mike: "The Burner" is still churning out 1300 yard+ seasons, I don't expect the same production this season, but he is still a top 5 NFL running back.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank talks about proposed new stadium.

ATLANTA- The new stadium package that is being put together by the Falcons head brass is getting a mere percentage of the attention that the Minnesota Vikings deal got. The strategy most likely is most likely in play by the team. By keeping it a local issue instead of national issue, the closed door back-and-forth can remain just that. Atlanta Falcons Best Players in 2012: #10 Tyson Clabo

Falcons paying close attention to stadium deals

The stadium playing field is shifting. The Falcons are closely watching as the Vikings and 49ers close in on new stadiums and the Steelers and Packers work on renovationsexpansions. The Falcons and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority have been in negotiations for about two years on a new stadium. The parties last month vacated their talks about an open-air stadium, which...

The Friday Blitz: Ten Falcons That Need to Step Up in 2012

Another Friday is here, and for this week I want to propose a list of the ten players that need to improve before the start of the season. These guys are on the roster, but all are at risk to ride the bench. The Falcons brass will have their eyes on these guys #1 Joe Hawley- Here is a guard who a lot of people expected to make a impact in Atlanta. He is young and with a unproven...

Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Football Projections

QB Matt Ryan (Atlanta) Matt Ryan is nothing, but consistent. And boring. But, you can call it consistent. In 2010, he had 3705 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. In 2011, 4177 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He should have a similar season this year, only slightly better as I’m projecting a breakout season from Julio Jones. Projection: 4220 passing yards, 30...

An Interview with Matt Stigall of ATL Wants MLS

After the 3rd round of the US Open Cup, several teams made deals to give up their home games in exchange for cash considerations. Probably the biggest of these deals involved NASL side Atlanta Silverbacks and 3-time reigning USOC champions Seattle Sounders. In the aftermath of the deal, I decided to talk to Matt Stigall of ATL Wants MLS to get a feel from a fan’s perspective on...
