ATLANTA- The new stadium package that is being put together by the Falcons head brass is getting a mere percentage of the attention that the Minnesota Vikings deal got.
The strategy most likely is most likely in play by the team. By keeping it a local issue instead of national issue, the closed door back-and-forth can remain just that.

Matt Ryan is nothing, but consistent. And boring. But, you can call it consistent. In 2010, he had 3705 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. In 2011, 4177 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He should have a similar season this year, only slightly better as I’m projecting a breakout season from Julio Jones.

It’s not a secret that I don’t think too highly of Michael Turner’s future with the Falcons. All off-season long, I’ve advocated that I think the team will be better off without him than with him. But it’s clear at this point that the Falcons brass disagree with me. And because of that, Turner’s production in 2012 will be a key to the team’s success.
