The Atlanta Falcons have given their fans many ups and downs this season. The Falcons, with quarterback Matt Ryan, have let the "Dirty Bird" nation down.I've been waiting for the quarterback position to lead the Falcons to the Super Bowl since Steve Bartkowski played back in the 70s and 80s. Matt Ryan hasn't proved to me that he's that guy, but today was a new day.Seattle's Walter Thurmond and Richard Sherman are the best shut-down corners in the game, but Atlanta changed the game with over 160 yards rushing between Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers. This running attack helped take the pressure off of Ryan. Matt Ryan, with TD passes to Roddy White and future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez, put the Falcons up 20-0 over the Seattle Seahawks by halftime.By the second half, it was time for the Falcons to show their wild side. Russell Wilson passed for almost 400 yards and rushed for 60 to bring the Seahawks back within six points. Old shades of Matt Ryan, the choker, came to play when he couldn't convert on 3rd down twice in the fourth quarter to put the game away. This gave Wilson a chance to get tight end Zach Miller, Sidney Rice, and Golden Tate involved in a comeback. Seattle's Marshawn Lynch would finally get something done by scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 31 seconds left. The wild side took a turn for the good this time for Falcon fans. Matt Ryan stepped up with 25 seconds left and two timeouts to go. Ryan completed a pass from his 27 yard line to the 50, then set his team up for the field goal with a pass completion to the 32 yard line. Field goal kicker, Matt Bryant, was clutch to win the game for the Falcons with one of his three field goals of the game. The final score was Atlanta 30, Seattle 28 with the Falcons going to the NFC Championship game. Finally!! Fi-na-lly! The Atlanta Falcons took that walk on the wild side for the good, better yet Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez both got their first playoff victories. So much for that anxiety and panic going away - San Francisco 49ers come to town next week. Sweetheart's Stuff     I've heard Atlanta was dirty, this proves it even further. Why don't those Dirty Birds take a bath? Does one not shower in the Red Light District? Or perhaps that's all part of their "Wild Side" image. Matt Ryan...two first names, I like it!!! On the 2008 Wonderlic exam, Matt Ryan had the highest score by a quarterback with a 32 - tying with Louisville's Brian Brohm. He joined the birds with a six-year contract, $72 million/ $34 guaranteed. That fat check made Ryan the 4th highest paid quarterback in the NFL despite never having played a professional game! That's like jumping from fry-guy to district manager, while eating your happy meal, on your day off.Matt also had endorsements with Nike and Air Tran. Talk about one intelligent guy. He was prepared to run to the airport if they tried to take that check back! I love a Plan B! Keep up your "Wild Side" Matt. As for me, my Wild Side is walking with Motley Crue,Sincerely,Sweetheart
