Week 2 is here and the Atlanta Falcons are already looking at a must win situation. The odds of a team making the playoffs after a 0-2 start are 13%. Yikes! The Falcons host the Rams this week, and thankfully Matty Ice refuses to lose at home (in the regular season…) so I fully expect Atlanta to rebound this weekend.   The Falcons will be reluctant to start Roddy White, and they should be. The only thing that heals a high ankle sprain is time, and having him out there as a decoy is just risking further injury. He has sat out all week and is questionable for Sunday. This week should be about Steven Jackson, his old team is coming to town, and Steven would love nothing more than to have the game of his life. Last week, Jackson struggled to find his feet behind a terrible performance from the offensive line. If Jackson can have a big game, then Atlanta should have no issue trying to outscore the Rams. On defense, the Rams are littered with talent. Their defensive line will get after Matt Ryan, if the hogs up front could not block second stringers from the Saints, how they will handle Long and Quinn? It should be very interesting to see. However, I think Julio Jones is due for his first multi-touchdown game. The Falcons almost beat the Saints last week, but almost doesn’t cut it. We are now two games behind in the division, and it is time to Rise Up and defend the dome. One player to watch out for this week is Tavon Austin. He is as dynamic as they come. The Rams will line him up everywhere, and expect him to give our safeties hell. If we can contain him, Sam Bradford will be forced to trust a pair of unproven tailbacks to move the chains. My prediction for this game is Atlanta 34 St. Louis 17. I expect Atlanta to pull away by the 3rd quarter, but that is only if the Falcons can protect Matt Ryan.
