New Orleans Saints players received a rude welcome in Atlanta before Thursday night's game with the Falcons as airport workers threw eggs at their team buses Wednesday.
A few tweets by some of the Saints players confirms the incident:
@ChaseDaniel: Wow, as we're boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate @JimmyGraham: Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! "RISE Up" smh

Why do the Atlanta Falcons get no respect?
The Atlanta Falcons, even after dismantling a major rival on NFL Network to go to 11-1 on the season, still can’t get any respect. Why do the Atlanta Falcons get no respect? Well, you might be surprised that it has a lot to do with psychology. The theory known as social attention holding potential explains why the Atlanta Falcons get no respect. The definition of the term fromâ€...
Week 13 power ranks: Atlanta Falcons earn their respect but questions remain, starting with the run game
The Atlanta/New Orleans tilt may not change our ranks a great deal, but it should change our collective opinion of the Falcons. Many Falcons players and their fans have been lamenting that their now 11-1 Falcons have not been getting the respect they deserve from the ‘national fandom’ and the mainstream media. They've earned our respect, but, I still have to ask: can the...

Falcons have chance to make up for loss to Saints
Some Atlanta players seem uncertain about who gave the Falcons' their lone loss of the season.
Did the Saints beat Atlanta, or did the Falcons beat themselves in their 31-27 loss at New Orleans on Nov. 11?
Receiver Roddy White was dismissive of the Saints after the game when he said, ''It's not like they came out here and won a game.''
Quarterback Matt...
QB Ranks – Week 13
QB Rankings
Drew Brees and Matt Ryan are two of the top fantasy options at the quarterback position in week thirteen. The Saints struggle on the road and the Falcons excel at home which leads us to believe that the Saints may be throwing a little more thus leading to Brees being ranked ahead of Ryan this week in my rankings.
RGIII has a date with the New York Football Giants on Monday...
Falcons RB's Michael Turner, Jacquizz Rodgers To Share Carries
The Falcons backfield is now a committee and Michael Turner will share the rock with Jacquizz Rodgers going forward.
It took eleven games. It took multiple games where Michael Turner averaged less than two yards a carry and it took the finest game of young Jacquizz Rodgers' career. What matters is that the moment a majority of fans, analysts and sentient rocks have been calling...
A Running Back Committee? A Novel Idea.
We've called for more Jacquizz for a while and last week our calls were answered. As the Falcons get deeper into the season, the brass is realizing more and more that Michael Turner is not a great fit for the offense Dirk Koetter is running and that he's getting up there in "football" years and Michael Cunningham covered it today in DOL's blog.
If...
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons point spread, line and preview
The New Orleans Saints will visit the Atlanta Falcons for a Thursday night game. The game which will be played in the Georgia Dome has an 8:20 p.m. EST kickoff.
While the two teams are on opposite sides of the playoff race this one figures to be a lot closer then the teams individual records. The Saints have been vastly improved since the return of interim coach Joe Vitt but they...
Girls Of The NFL: Week 13
It only took 13 weeks to get a half decent Thursday night game on NFL Network. The Saints are taking on the Falcons in a game that could pretty much make or break their season. At 5-6 they don’t have much room for error. We like them +4 on the road, especially with how erratic Matt Ryan has been as of late.
A few other bets we like? Take the Eagles +10 against the Cowboys, the...
Atlanta Falcons: Defense & Running Game Step Up To Beat Saints
The Saints (5-7) came into Atlanta feeling they owned the NFC South division despite their losing record. But after it was all said and done, it was the Falcons (11-1) who got the last word. The Falcons started the game with a purpose. They dominated the battle's first series with 80 yards on six plays for an opening-drive touchdown.Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers were heavily...
Saints-Falcons Live Blog, Second Half
For the first 25 minutes of the half, the Saints laid dormant as the Falcons ran all over them. New Orleans’ run D barely contested a run-heavy opening drive score that was so easy for Atlanta that Michael Turner didn’t look like he weighed 400 lbs. for once. Brees responded by hitting a nearly impossible deep throw on 3rd down to get the New Orleans to the Atlanta side of the...
Falcons 23, Saints 13
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Falcons jumped out to a big lead and held on to bury the New Orleans Saints, 23-13, Thursday night in the Georgia Dome. Michael Turner and Tony Gonzalez scored touchdowns, as the Falcons improved to an NFL-best 11-1 and crushed the Saints' slim playoff hopes. The Falcons' win snaps a four-game losing streak to their NFC South rivals. But it wasn...
TNF: Falcons keep the one seed in sights; Saints fall out of the picture
With their 23-13 victory over the Saints, the Falcons keep the inside track on clinching the number one seed in the NFL, while they all but eliminate the New Orleans Saints, who essentially fall out of the playoff-picture, much to the enjoyment of many nervous Atlanta Falcon fans. The Falcons were able to find some sort of redemption on the Saints, who snapped their undefeated bid...
Saints-Falcons Preview
The Atlanta Falcons don't need much motivation for their rematch with the New Orleans Saints.
However, they've done a good job of giving the desperate Saints more reason to get amped up for this contest.
The Falcons look to avenge their lone defeat by trying to avoid a fifth consecutive loss to the Saints on Thursday night at the Georgia Dome.
Atlanta (10-1) was rolling...
Saints-Falcons Live Blog, First Half
My stars, a better than unwatchable game scheduled for a Thursday night? That simply cannot be. At least the three days of preparation will prevent what could be a good contest from living up to its potential.
Being bitter division rivals, the Falcons and the Saints don’t need much to get motivated to play one another. New Orleans, of course, handed Atlanta its only loss of the...
