Welcome back to another edition of Auto Pilot Picking by me, Dave and NYSK contributor Johnny Pavia. After a week to reflect on what the Jets have done this season, it’s good to be back to dissect the Week 11 matchup against Buffalo Bills, favorite team of NYSK’s own Tad and Matt.
During the week off, it finally sunk in that the Jets have a chance at the playoffs this year. They are one of a few teams that are competing for the sixth seed in the AFC (with Denver or Kansas City locking up the five seed already) and a favorable schedule will help Gang Green’s chances. It starts this week against a Buffalo team that has hung tough in almost every game this year and by all means will not be an easy out.
As usual, we will break down the keys to the game for the Jets, their impact players and of course our final predictions. Both Tad and Matt will break down the Bills side later today.

Santonio Holmes will play for the New York Jets at Buffalo on Sunday after the wide receiver missed five games with a hamstring injury.
Holmes is listed as probable on the team's injury report Friday, and coach Rex Ryan is excited about getting his most experienced wide receiver back on the field. Holmes was injured at Tennessee in Week 4, just as he and rookie quarterback Geno...
Florham Park, NJ - Hopefully, the bye week broke "the trend.' Or I at least hope the Jets lost some imaginary game during the bye. The Jets have gone into most of their match-ups this season being the underdogs and have defeated the odds pretty much 5 times (okay, probably 4 times.) This week Vegas will surely call the game in the Jets favor as they face their struggling...
Ed Reed will start at safety in his debut with the New York Jets in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Reed was released by the Houston Texans on Tuesday and signed with the Jets on Thursday.
Santonio Holmes returns to the Jets' lineup after missing five games with a hamstring injury, while fellow wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (elbow) is inactive as expected.
Apparently 10 was enough for Antonio Cromartie.
After fathering 10 children with eight different women, Cromartie decided in 2011 that enough was enough, opting to get a vasectomy, according to a new book by author Nicholas Dawidoff. In the book entitled Collision Low Crossers: A Year Inside the Turbulent World of NFL Football, Dawidoff reveals that the Jets’ All-Pro cornerback...
New York Jets kicker Nick Folk lined up for this 48 yard field goal attempt when the wind decided it was having nothing of it. The wind in Buffalo blew this ball across almost half of the field to keep it from going through the uprights.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Jets because of a groin injury.
That means the Bills will play without their top two receivers against the Jets. Rookie Robert Woods (ankle) was ruled out this week by coach Doug Marrone.
The injuries are the latest blow to an already struggling passing attack. The Bills were...
Rex Ryan didn’t politic to sign him for nothing.
Manish Mehta is reporting that Ed Reed will indeed start at safety for the New York Jets three days after signing with the team.
That was fast RT @MMehtaNYDN: Ed Reed is not only active today for the Jets today… He's starting for Antonio Allen. #nyj

Bills receiver Stevie Johnson (groin) missed a third consecutive practice and has just been ruled out for Sunday against the Jets.Fantasy Spin:Robert Woods (ankle) will also miss Week 11 leaving T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Hogan as the team's top three healthy wideouts.
Tom Szczerbowski/Getty ImagesThe Patriots will have to wait until tomorrow night to see how fondly they remember Week 11, but Pats fans could take some enjoyment today from the Jets embarrassing themselves in a 37-14 loss to the Bills.Geno Smith was particularly bad, with the rookie committing four turnovers (1 fumble, 3 interceptions) before getting pulled for Matt Simms. Despite...
The Jets return from their bye week in position to do what was unthinkable three months ago — make a run at the playoffs.
Gang Green face the Bills on Sunday in control of their playoff lives. They would be the AFC’s sixth seed if the playoffs started now. With seven games left, they have to hold onto the spot, and that begins with a divisional test at Ralph Wilson Stadium....
Typically we try to keep our noses out of athletes’ personal affairs (actually, no we don’t — at all), but sometimes a piece of information comes along that is just too entertaining to pass up. Like, for example, the fact that New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie got a vasectomy in 2011. Those of you […]
Bills receiver Stevie Johnson (groin) missed a third consecutive practice and must be considered doubtful for Sunday against the Jets.Fantasy Spin:Robert Woods (ankle) will miss Week 11 leaving T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Hogan as the team's top three healthy wideouts.
He’s back, but his return didn’t exactly go as planned. On a cold and windy day, Manuel threw 39 passes. 34 of them were ten or fewer yards. 24 were thrown short of the first down marker. The offense as a whole was inept at best, gaining just 157 yards in the first three quarters. But there’s hope! Manuel has just six professional games under his belt and still could develop...
There are a lot of media members and Bills fans that have praised the Buffalo Bills hiring of Western New York native and former University at Rochester and MIT graduate Michael Lyons as the Director of Analytics for the team. They have razzed it as a sign that the Bills are becoming a progressive organization that recognizes the importance of the almighty number and could be the...
