Baltimore Sun:
Linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo was as curious as everyone else about how his surgically-repaired left quadriceps muscle would hold up in the Ravens’ 37-34 overtime win against the Buffalo Bills Sunday.
Ayanbadejo, who was activated from the team’s physically-unable-to-perform list on Saturday, said the muscle held up well. But one thing he hadn’t anticipated was that he would be the target of Buffalo’s blockers on kick returns.
Still, Ayanbadejo, a three-time Pro Bowler on special teams, tried not to put too much weight into it.
“I don’t know. I think they were just double-teaming whoever would have been there,” he said. “Anybody on the team, their scheme was to double-team. But it’ll be soon when they’re double-teaming me like before.”
