Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo said a knee problem that kept him out of practice Thursday is not serious. “I had a flare-up in my knee, so I had to pull the vet card,” the eight-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler said Friday. “I figure I got a few left. But seriously, there are some days when you’ve just got to make that executive decision. I thought, ‘If I practiced [Thursday] – and the way I do things, I’m going to go all out – is it going to affect me on Sunday? So I was just like, ‘Man, I’ve got to shut it down today and give it everything I’ve got on Sunday.’ I only get to play one game a week, and I didn’t want to play it on Thursday.” Ayanbadejo, who sat out the first six weeks of the season while rehabbing a quad muscle that he tore from his left kneecap against the New England Patriots on Oct. 4, 2009, said the day off worked wonders for his knee. “I hate missing practice, but that definitely helped,” he said. “I’m going to be 100 percent on Sunday.”
