First reported by Brian McIntyre, the Seattle Seahawks confirmed the team signed offensive lineman Breno Giacomini to a multi-year deal.
Giacomini who I have joked all year is 1/3 of the European offensive line movement in Seattle (McQuistan + Jeanpierre) is the first Seahawks free agent signed by the team so far during the 2012 NFL offseason.
That just leaves Seattle with 22 free agents. 17 of who are unrestricted, three restricted and two exclusive rights free agents.
According to NFLPA records, Giacomini will make base salaries of $1.5 million the upcoming season and $3 million 2013.
Quote: “I want to be here,” he said. “I like the way this is headed. I like Coach (Tom) Cable and the offensive staff and Pete (head coach Pete Carroll), so I hopefully I’m here next year.” Profile

The quarterback position for the Seattle Seahawks is an obvious need during the 2012 NFL draft, but is Kellen Moore the right choice? The Seahawks need a new QB. Keeping the Band Together
[Note: Recurring computer problems have kept me sidelined for the last two weeks, but I think I’ve finally got them solved. The way I see it, my PC was at least polite enough to wait until the Seahawks’ season was over to give me trouble.]
Although the Seahawks’ 2011 season ended with them eliminated from playoff contention for the third time in the last four years, Iâ...
