Found June 22, 2010 on The Jets Blog:
Aaron Wilson of NFP reported earlier this morning that the Jets had cut a trio of players. Jared Ballman’s tenure with the New York Jets was an extremely short one. The former University of Washington punter/kicker was waived recently along with undrafted free agent defensive tackle Mitch Williams and safety Brannon Condren. He was with the team for less than a week. At Washington, Ballman averaged 39.7 yards per punt and converted 2 of 7 field goals. I’m not quite sure what the Jets saw in Ballman to begin with but unless something drastic happens, Nick Folk will be kicking on opening night. As for Condren, the Jets must have gotten all the info they could out of him concerning the Colts. Williams was a project from the start and he just wasn’t able to perform at a level the Jets like to see their players at.
