Found January 17, 2012 on Ravens Locker:
The Ravens have to be confident heading into Foxboro this weekend for the AFC Championship Game.  That is because the Ravens won 33-14 over the Patriots just two years ago in the playoffs on this same field.  The Patriots will be out for revenge this weekend in what should be a pretty good football game.  Here is a look at the matchups in this game: When the Ravens have the ball:  The Ravens win when they get the ball in Ray Rice’s hands 20 times or more in a game, so they need to run the ball and stick with it in this game.  Ricky Williams will also get some carries against a Patriots’ D that impressively stuffed the Broncos’ running game last weekend.  The other key to this game is going to be Joe Flacco.  He needs to step up and be a man this weekend if the Ravens are going to have a shot of getting back to the Super Bowl.  The Patriots’ D is good at creating turnovers despite giving up a lot of passing yards.  Flacco is going to have to be careful with th...

Reed Says Flacco “Didn’t Look Like He Had A Hold On The Offense”

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco improved his postseason record to 5-3 after the team was able to pull out a 20-13 victory over the Houston Texans last Sunday, but he’s still looking for a break out performance in the playoffs. The fourth-year veteran didn’t get any help from his offensive line as he was sacked [...]

Defense bails out Flacco again

His feisty tone and rambling respect talk were gone. Only his Fu Manchu remained late Sunday, a reminder of what had been his little defiant streak. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco had wanted to be regarded as a grown-ass man, like Brady and Rodgers. What he has to settle for is being the luckiest SOB in football, getting partial credit for what is actually the big-boy work of his...

Flacco not concerned about Ed Reed’s comments

Joe Flacco, the fourth-year quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, has a habit of winning. He’s won 44 games in his first four seasons. For those of us that are mathematically challenged (I am), that’s 11 wins a season on average. Tough to beat, huh?Even with all those wins, there are still questions about Flacco. One thing in particular that got attention was from Ed Reed...

Photo Story: ‘No Respect’ starring Joe Flacco, John Harbaugh, and special guest Rodney Dangerfield

For all of his talent as a passer, and his very good regular season and post season records during his first four years in the NFL, Joe Flacco is not generally considered to be among the upper tier of quarterbacks in the NFL. As good as his won/loss numbers may look, Flacco’s stats suggest to many that the Ravens win in spite of him more than they win because of him, with defense...

QB needs Joe Flacco jacket

If Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco didn't have a Rodney Dangerfield complex before, he's likely to have...

Why Are The Baltimore Ravens Letting Joe Flacco Ignore The Secret To Their Success?

BALTIMORE-January 16. – In the second quarter of the Ravens eventual defeat of the visiting Houston Texans it looked as if the Texans rookie head scratcher T.J. Yates was going to do it again. The Texans were moving the ball against one of the greatest defenses of all time and the Ravens offense was sputtering

Ravens Brush Off Criticism By FS Ed Reed Of QB Joe Flacco

The Baltimore Ravens are doing their best to brush off the media-created firestorm following safety Ed Reed's criticism of quarterback Joe Flacco during a Monday radio interview. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that he spoke to the team and, as far as he and Flacco are concerned, it's no big deal. "I understand where Ed's heart is at," Harbaugh said...

Ravens safety Reed wants 'rattled' Flacco, O-line to step up

Ed Reed has plenty of respect in the Ravens' locker room, and perhaps that's why he decided it was OK for him to call for better play from quarterback Joe Flacco and the offensive line with the Patriots on tap.

NFL Playoffs Fantasy Football Recap: Texans vs. Ravens

Houston Texans 13 Baltimore Ravens 20 This is another game that pretty much played out exactly as was predicted. The Ravens play pretty well when at home, while the Texans limped toward the end of the season with three straight losses before pulling out a victory last week against a Bengals team that may have been one of the only other teams in the playoffs with less momentum...

Draft. Resign. Cut. – NFL Playoff Caliber Quarterbacks

The final four quarterbacks left in the NFL playoffs have a clear line dividing them: those that have won a Super Bowl and those who haven’t. For the two that haven’t, Alex Smith and Joe Flacco, each has taken their fair share of criticism. Some is warranted and some of it is not. Obviously we can’t compare these two players to either Tom Brady or Eli Manning. There...
