The Ravens have really turned it on lately as they have won their last three games by a combined score of 71-40! The Colts on the other hand have lost every game they have played so far this year. Don’t look for the Ravens to take it too easy on the Colts this weekend as the fans absolutely hate them for leaving town. Here’s a look at the matchups in this game:
When the Ravens have the ball: Look for the Ravens to remain balanced in this game offensively. The Colts are giving up 144.2 yards rushing per game and 4.1 yards per carry so far this year, so look for Ray Rice and Ricky Williams to dominate them on the ground. The Ravens’ O-Line should be able to handle DEs Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney, giving Joe Flacco time to survey the field when he drops back to throw. Colts Can’t Afford Both Manning And Luck
Bob Kravitz of the IndyStar does a great job of explaining why the Indianapolis Colts can’t afford to bring back Peyton Manning next season and draft Andrew Luck in next April’s draft. Harbaugh in no mood to entertain usual Colts questions
Ravens coach focused on Sunday's contestSeemingly without fail, every time the Ravens and Indianapolis Colts meet, the days leading up to the game are filled with articles about then-team owner Robert Irsay’s decision to move the Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis in the middle of the night on March 29, 1984, and the resulting outcry from the Baltimore community.
Garçon's gains not against the prevent
Pierre Garçon has matured this year in what is undeniably a tough environment. The common story about his big day Sunday is that his numbers all game against a weak prevent defense. It was a porous defense, but it wasn't the prevent as explained by Pro Football Focus:
Again, I’d like to emphasize, while everyone around the country has put a catchy name to describe the...

Colts can’t pay and trade Peyton
It’s been established that the Colts owe Peyton Manning another $28 million in early 2012. Last month, Peter King pointed out during Football Night In America that the money comes due before the start of the 2012 league year. That’s significant because it means that the Colts can’t trade Manning to a new team before…

Here's today's Open Thread. Topics of discussion include:
How good would Manning and/or Luck have to be to justify keeping either one? Reader Bob Mangino tried to guestimate some numbers. Think about the problem like this: regardless of which side of the Luck/Manning divide you sit, how could would the other have to be before you'd be convinced to change sides?
