Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been playing in the final year of his rookie contract. However, don’t expect him to hit the free agent market in March, especially with his recent play under center during the playoffs. Flacco wants a long-term deal from the Ravens, and reports suggest that he might want Drew Brees type money, $20 million annually. The Ravens dropped the ball on this negotiation and Flacco is now the one with the upper hand. Baltimore refused to extend Flacco’s contract at the start of the season and despite an up and down regular season, Flacco has been electric in the playoffs. He has eight touchdowns and no interceptions, defeating Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady while taking the Ravens to the Super Bowl. On Tuesday, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome told reporters that Flacco will be a Raven in 2013. “He’ll be playing for us next year,” Newsome told reporters. He went on to say that the two sides have a pretty good idea of where they sit in the cur...

Joe Flacco walks the Super Bowl streets unnoticed

According to Pat O'Brien and Steve Hartman of the Fox Sports Loose Canons Radio Show, they walked out of their hotel last evening in New Orleans to attend dinner. Who would they see walking down the street? A tall figure walking with a much shorter man. As they walked closer they were able to identify at least one of the men as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. One...

Reports: Flacco wants $20 million per year

Joe Flacco might soon cash in on his Super Bowl run. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback hopes to negotiate a new contract that will pay him $20 million per season, according to multiple media reports. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco didn't mince words when asked about the idea of cold weather site hosting the Super Bowl in an open air venue. Flacco one win from cementing place among NFL's elite

He's on a roll that could place him in the pantheon of NFL quarterbacks with a positive outcome Sunday. He's been in the playoffs each season of his NFL career and has piled up wins at home and on the road. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, however, won't declare himself one the elite signal-callers in the league, as Giants quarterback Eli Manning famously did...

Joe Flacco aiming for a $20 million per year contract

Jim Racalto I remember last year when the whole football world chuckled at Joe Flacco’s agent calling him elite. The joke is no longer on Jersey Joe, as he’s played at the highest level we’ve ever seen from him while leading the Baltimore Ravens to the brink of a championship. If he wins the Super Bowl after beating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road, EPSN’s John...
