After playing 16 seasons in the NFL, you have to wonder when players might decide to retire, one of those players not thinking about retirement is Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis. Lewis has been hobbled with a toe injury during the 2011 regular season, but he posted a team best eight tackles against the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon.
When asked after the game by ESPN reporter Sal Paolantonio after the game if he had played his last home game in Baltimore, Lewis responded, “Football is too fun for me, man. I love it too much to ever even put that thought in my head and disrespect not just me and my craft, but disrespect my team. I just never thought of it. Whenever God says time is enough, then it’s enough. But when you’re having the fun that I’m having, and you’re playing at the level I’m playing at, you do it until you can’t do it no more.”
Despite missing a few games late in the regular season, Lewis finished the regular season leading the Ravens in tackles this...
