Thus ends another disappointing season in Baltimore. In a season with so much promise and the fact the Ravens did not have to face the Pittsburgh Steelers nor Peyton Manning in the postseason, this year was more than just frustration. It is almost to a point in Raven Country that something needs to change. Ray Lewis said he’s coming back for another year, now where that is great from a leadership stand point, Lewis is no spring chicken. He’s 36, the oldest on the team, and is more of a liability in pass coverage. But he is all they got at the middle line backer position. Sergio Kindle, the Ravens second round pick in the 2010 NFL draft, doesn’t appear to be the heir apparent. Ed Reed isn’t getting any younger either. He is entering his 11th season as a Raven, and durability issues are coming in to play, even though he is a perennial pro bowler. Age appears to be the number one problem on a defense that is still dominate. With every passing year a replacemen...

Seattle media makes their case for Peyton Manning

Seattle hasn’t been mentioned a lot as a possible landing spot for Peyton Manning, but it probably should be. They have a quality defense, salary cap room, a first class facility, and an owner that isn’t afraid to spend. (Or stay out of the way.) They have a quarterback need, but they are flexible enough…

Peyton Manning Or Not, Seattle Seahawks Need To Draft A Quarterback In 2012 NFL Draft

SEATTLE — While one Manning gains a ring the other is trying to find out where he can win his second. That Manning would be Peyton, who is scheduled to meet with Colts owner Jim Irsay to determine his future. The moves made by Jim Irsay thus far this offseason point toward the Colts rebuilding after one of its worst seasons in recent memory. He's talked about how similar this situation is to 1998, when...

For Peyton Manning, celebration now, meeting later

A meeting looms, perhaps this week, that could start the process of reshaping the career of Peyton Manning and sending the Indianapolis Colts in a different direction.

Joe Gibbs on Peyton Manning and the Redskins

Since I’m quoting everyone else on Peyton Manning and the Redskins, might as well quote Joe Gibbs on Peyton Manning and the Redskins. Much of these comments — which came last week on Mike Wise’s radio show — already appeared in The Post via a Mike Wise column. Read full article >>

Peyton expects to meet with Irsay this week

According to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning spoke with owner Jim Irsay and he believes they’ll meet some time this week. “We talked about getting together and I think it will be this week,” said Manning.  “He just said, ‘I look forward to sitting down with you soon.’ I told him the same thing.“I think it will be...
