What did you get to thank your Super Bowl hosts? A new chip-and-dip bowl would probably be nice, especially considering what the Super Bowl-winning Ravens did this week to thank the city of New Orleans for hosting their Ray Lewis retirement bash. The team is reportedly ready to unveil a set of 2013 Harley Davidson FLHP motorcycles for the city police department’s traffic division on Wednesday, according to Pro Football Talk. (The bikes look something like this.) The team also took out a full-page advertisement in the New Orleans Times-Picayune to thank the city, its police department and its fans for the excellent weekend. Check it out in the photo below, and go get that bowl and a thank-you card. @AdamSchefter classy move by Ravens http://t.co/e2rzXjj1eb— Glen Mercer (@gmercer9) March 06, 2013 Thumbnail photo via Twitter/@gmercer9

Joe Flacco Heads to McDonald’s to Celebrate Becoming NFL’s Richest Player (Photo)

Joe Flacco is a very, very rich man. But instead of spending that money on the priciest and most exotic foods money can buy (or whatever else filthy, filthy rich folks eat), the Baltimore Ravens quarterback is all about the Golden Arches. According to ESPN.com, Flacco made a trip to McDonald’s to fill up on some fast food just a few hours after signing his new contract. That new...

Breaking down Flacco’s record contract

The questions have been asked, is he, was he, should he be worth this kind of money? Regardless of your feelings, Joe Flacco is the long-term answer for the Baltimore Ravens and to the organization, he was obviously worth it. Should Joe Flacco be the highest paid quarterback in the NFL? One can argue by taking his team to the Super Bowl and earning himself the MVP there is...

Joe Flacco enjoys McNuggets post-deal

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco signed a new six-year, $120.6 million contract Sunday that makes him the highest paid player by average

Breaking Down The Joe Flacco Contract As It Relates To Yearly Salary Cap Charges

The Baltimore Ravens signed quarterback Joe Flacco to a six year, $120.6 million contract on Monday and a few people have asked me how that will affect their salary cap situation moving forward. First of all, let's look at the reported numbers. Albert Breer of the NFL Network reported that Flacco received a $29 million signing bonus to start with. That signing bonus can only...

Ravens donate motorcycles to police

The Baltimore Ravens have donated two motorcycles to the New Orleans Police Department Traffic Division as a show of appreciation for the treatment the team received during the week of the Super Bowl. While in New Orleans, the Ravens received police escorts to and from their destinations, as well as 24-hour security protection. Team owner Steve Bisciotti says the Ravens provided...

Does Joe Flacco Deserve To Be The Highest Paid Player Ever?

First I want to say that I’m happy for Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens for their Super Bowl victory and for both sides coming to terms on a long-term deal. I’m a big fan for players getting paid and receiving the contract that they’ve worked hard for. But I’ve been thinking real hard lately if the Ravens made a big mistake giving Flacco that kind of money and making him...

Photo: Joe Flacco visits a local McDonalds hours after signing big contract

Despite signing one of the richest contracts in NFL history on Monday, Baltimore Ravens quarterback still likes to eat thrifty. The Super Bowl-winning signal caller pulled into a local McDonalds drive-thru within hours of signing his lucrative six-year deal, and proceeded to order a 10-piece McNugget meal, complete with fries and an unsweetened tea. The price for such a meal cost...

Ravens and Joe Flacco Were $1 Million Apart On A Deal Last Year

As a gambler, I know all too well the feeling Joe Flacco is feeling as well as Ozzie Newsome. Last year before people started to recognize Flacco as “Joe Cool”, the Ravens were in limbo with how much they valued their five year starting quarterback. In August, a contract could have been locked into place saving the Baltimore Ravens millions. How much to be exact? Well according...

Thanks to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, nobody can ever call agent Joe Linta ‘a jackass’

Once concerned his client was on the brink of getting franchised, agent Joe Linta is now publicly gloating that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is the highest-paid player in NFL history. After thoroughly outplaying Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Colin Kaepernick, and guiding the Ravens to a 34-31 upset victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, the 28-year-old...

Cary Williams Doesn't Think He's 'A Priority Right Now' For Ravens

Williams is one of six key players for the cap-strapped Ravens scheduled to become unrestricted free agents March 12. Along with Williams, quarterback Joe Flacco, inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, safety Ed Reed, outside linebacker Paul Kruger and left tackle Bryant McKinnie are also impending free agents. Baltimore is in the process of negotiating a long-term deal with Flacco...

Ravens QB Joe Flacco Says New Contract Was About Respect, Not Money

Getting the richest contract ever awarded an NFL player wasn’t Joe Flacco’s goal. He swears he was always more interested in respect. As he addressed the media in jeans and a zip-up sweater, it wasn’t hard to believe him. “It was never about earning the money and all that. It was about earning the respect,” the Baltimore Ravens quarterback said Monday at a press conference...
