In a very intense matchup of Super Bowl hopefuls, the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles fought to the last minute on a sunny day in Philadelphia. The Ravens had complete control throughout the game while forcing costly turnovers in their own half of the field.A rivalry has been sparked as it was a very gritty game with a lot of extra pushing and shoving after the whistle. A stagnant second half by the Ravens allowed the Eagles to creep their way back into the game and come out victorious at the end.The replacement referees had a poor performance overall while stopping the game numerous times to have meetings and figure out what was the right call.I believe it ruined the flow of the game and did not allow the teams to continue a rhythm throughout the contest. A 17-7 halftime lead for the Ravens after rookie kicker Justin tucker hit a franchise record-tying field goal from 56 yards out.The Ravens had a slow start to the second half with two punts and an interception which allowe...

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Philadelphia are preparing rookie quarterback Nick Foles to step in, if Michael Vick struggles or gets injured.
“Is Andy Reid secretly getting rookie QB Nick Foles ready in case Michael Vick crumbles? League spies say that alarm bells sounded loudly when Reid (for the first time in 14 years in Philly) abruptly made practice off limits to...
Michael Vick scored on a 1-yard TD run with 1:55 left, helping the Philadelphia Eagles overcome a slew of turnovers to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-23 on Sunday.
Rookie kicker Justin Tucker made field goals of 56, 51 and 48 yards for the Ravens, but Joe Flacco couldn't get Baltimore (1-1) in his range in the final minute.
Flacco overthrew Ray Rice on fourth-and-1 from the Ravens...

The Eagles have 9 turnovers in 2 games, but they’re 2-0. How does that happen? Well, when you lead the league in points per play differential with a differential of 1.5, all of a sudden, you can overcome those turnovers. Historically, that differential is more likely to continue that their turnover differential, which is -3. If that continues, the...
Eagles center Jason Kelce is out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Ravens. Kelce was placed on the season-ending injured reserve list and replaced on the roster by center Steve Vallos, who was in training camp with the Eagles and has played in 40 games in his career. He was a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks in 2007 and also played for the...
Philadelphia QB Michael Vick was much more efficient Sunday than he was in Week 1, completing 23-of-32 for 371 yards.Fantasy Spin:Vick only completed 51.8 percent of his passes on 56 attempts last week. The Eagles QB did throw two more picks Sunday, giving him six on the season, and he lost a fumble but he also tossed a touchdown pass and rushed for 34 yards and a score.
When people say the replacement refs are not professional, they usually mean the stopgap officials are making bad calls or not keeping order on the field. It turns out they may not be professional in an even worse way. On the same day a line judge was yanked from covering the New Orleans game after the NFL found out he was unabashed Saints fan by looking at his Facebook page, Eagles...

The Ravens are overrated. We’ll see it this weekend. They rank just 12th in yards per play differential, despite playing one of their games against a banged up Bengals team that I think is one of the worst in the league. They clearly miss Terrell Suggs and others defensively. Only 5 teams have given up more yards than they have. Joe Flacco had a good...
The Baltimore Ravens blew a 10 point halftime lead over the Philadelphia Eagles to fall to 1-1 on the year in a frustrating road loss. Michael Vick rushed for a touchdown with just under two-minutes remaining in the game to give the Eagles a 24-23 lead.
Joe Flacco, who was simply awful in the second half, was not able to lead the Ravens to a game winning drive. Instead he missed...
About 20 minutes ago, Dave Spadaro (@DaveSpadaro), tweeted that the Philadelphia Eagles had placed Jason Kelce on the Injured Reserved list and that he would not return for the rest of 2012. This news was later confirmed by the Eagles.
With Kelce going on IR, the Eagles quickly re-signed Steve Vallos. Vallos is an offensive lineman who played with the Eagles for the preseason....
