Things just keep getting worse for former NFL running back Jamal Lewis. We reporting back in May about Lewis' money troubles, now he has something else to worry about.

Lewis was arrested Tuesday in Georgia for failing to pay child support for his son. He was charged and booked Tuesday night for "child abandonment" and was released soon after, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

In addition to not paying child support, he also has done nothing at all for his son, and hasn't been in contact with him for more than a year. So, aside from being a fool and throwing away all his money, Jamal is officially quite the dirt bag as well.

This isn't Lewis first run-in with the long arm of the law. He did 4 months in federal prison back in 2005 after being convicted of 'conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms of cocaine and using a cell phone in the commission of the first count.'

Lewis played for Baltimore from 2000-2006 and in Cleveland, 2007 -2009. He ran for a total of 10,607 yards in his career, and also had the 2nd most prolific rushing season in NFL history, runnign for 2,066-yard season in 2003.
