Sheriff's officials say a Tennessee Titans tight end has been arrested in a roll-over drunken driving crash in eastern Georgia. A Lincoln County Sheriff's report says 23-year-old Brandon Barden lost control of a truck carrying two other passengers on Feb. 23 and crashed into a ditch in Lincolnton - about 35 miles northwest of Augusta. The report says the truck flipped and landed on its side. Deputies say they spoke with Barden after the accident and smelled a strong odor of alcohol. Barden refused to do a sobriety test and was taken to the sheriff's office, where he again refused to take a sobriety test. Barden lives in Lincolnton and played for Vanderbilt University. He was drafted in 2012. He was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

CJ2K: I'll outrush Adrian Peterson

Titans running back Chris Johnson is not short on confidence, as evidenced by his belief that he will rush for more yards than Adrian Peterson did next season.

Why Chris Johnson Has Delusional Goals for 2013

In a recent interview with NFL Live on ESPN, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson laid out his goals for 2013.Those goals include having more rushing yards than Adrian Peterson (who in 2012 rushed for 2,097 yards and won the MVP award) and breaking the single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.Johnson seems to be extremely confident in his abilities...

Titans tight end arrested for DUI (Credit: AP Photo) Brandon Barden, who played in three games  for the Titans last season, was arrested for refusing a field sobriety test in Augusta, Ga. The officer on the scene said he could “smell a strong odor of alcohol.” Barden was booked and released on bond. According, WRDW-TV, this occurred after a single-car wreck on Highway 220...

Chris Johnson Predicts He Will Outrush Adrian Peterson in 2013

The first thing Chris Johnson needs to do is pull up his pants at the club, then we can talk about what he is going to do in 2013. Considering, Johnson has rushed for 2000+ yards in a season before, it isn’t like he is incapable of outrushing Peterson, but the Titans entire team will have to get better for him to have a shot. It is hard to run the ball, when you are consistently...

2013 Tennessee Titans offseason positional analysis: ST

We conclude our trip around the Tennessee Titans as we head into the 2013 offseason with a look at the special teams. I like to start these positional analyses with a more macro-level view of where the Titans are in the position, focusing less on the specific individuals than in trying to provide a bit of context for where the position has been, where it is, and where it seems...

Chris Johnson confident he’ll break record in 2013

The paper thin line that separates a player’s confidence and arrogance was sliced even thinner by running back Chris Johnson yesterday on ESPN’s “NFL Live” show.   Asked, “who will have more rushing yards in 2013…AP or CJ2K?” the lightning-fast running back rushing out of the Titans backfield didn’t hesitate to respond. “Of course 2K,” he stated chuckling, perhaps...

Chris Johnson Says He Can Break Eric Dickerson’s Rushing Record

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson was the NFL rushing king a few seasons ago.  Johnson rushed for 2,006 yards in 2009, and people talking about him as the best back in the game. Johnson has fallen off a little since then, and even though most of that can be attributed to his offensive line woes, it still causes his numbers to be inconsistent. Johnson watched Vikings running...

Titans Chris Johnson says he’ll beat Adrian Peterson’s 2012 rushing record

People forget that in 2009, Titans Chris Johnson rushed for 2006 yards. So when you hear Johnson proclaim that he will beat Adrian Peterson’s 2012 rushing record of 2,097 yards, you at least have to listen. “I’m very confident. I’ve always been a confident guy. This is a situation, if you want something to happen, you’ve got to speak on it. You’ve got to believe...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Busy is the off-season for the NFL this time of year. From on-site analysis at various all-star games to the Scouting Combine to impending free agency to Pro Day workouts to player visits to the Draft, moss doesn't grow on coaches and player personnel staff in February, March and April. CJ2K<AP<2105

Tennessee running back proposed this week that he would A) out rush league MVP Adrian Peterson this season and B) take a run at the all time rushing record held by Eric Dickerson.   Maybe, it’s possible but the numbers need bearing out before it can be given any credibility whatsoever. The all time record, held [...]
