In his first season with the Redskins, defensive lineman Barry Cofield is in the midst of the first five-game losing streak of his six-year career. After a 20-9 loss to a Miami squad that lost its first seven games, Cofield said he expects those struggles to grow if players don’t step it up..
When asked to reflect on the difficult stretch, Cofield — who never lost more than four games in a row in five seasons with the Giants — did not hold back Monday morning. Cofield said he has seen players put in hard work but struggled to explain the recent woes for a team that won three of its first four games.

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Kedric Golston suffered an MCL injury in Sunday's loss at Miami.
Golston is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.
