Hall of Fame Phillies Broadcaster Harry Kalas, the radio and television voice of the Philadelphia Phillies, passed away today after collapsing in the broadcast booth at Nationals Park where the Phillies were set to play the Nationals. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:20 p.m. Cause of death is unknown. He was 73. Kalas also did voiceover work with NFL Films where he was often referred to as “the voice of god” due to his due to his rich, booming voice. Today, the baseball world mourned the loss of Kalas.
