This is a short week for the Seattle Seahawks as they will face the Arizona Cardinals today for their Thursday night match up of the season. I don’t know much about the Cardinals, except for QB Kurt Warner’s comeback run with them when he led them to their last Super Bowl in 2008 and WR Larry Fitzgerald on my fantasy football team plays for them. Here are three things to know about the Hawks’ opponent going into the game: 1) In the Past The Seahawks and Cardinals are NFC West division rivals, with the Seahawks currently in first place, going 5-1 on the season, while the Cardinals are tied for last place with the St. Louis Rams at 3-3.  It’s been awhile since the Cardinals have dominated the NFC – as I mentioned before, since Warner was their QB during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Seattle and Arizona met twice last year during Weeks One and Fourteen.  The results were lopsided.  The first meeting was a home game for the Cardinals and it was close one, with Arizona...

The Luke Wilson Project: Seahawks Rookie Tight End Can Soon Become Emerald City Star

Luke Wilson Facebook Page   Seattle Seahawks rookie tight end Luke Wilson is used to being overlooked as he was the backup tight end during his college days at Rice University. Ironically enough, Wilson was playing behind fellow rookie and current rival Vance McDonald, who was a second round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers. Although Wilson played second fiddle to McDonald...

Arizona Cardinals need better decision making from Carson Palmer

On paper, the Arizona Cardinals are a good football team. They have receivers that can make plays, a defense that can win games without much offensive production, but one thing continues to hold the team back in the post-Kurt Warner era. Quarterback play. When the Cardinals brought in Carson Palmer, it looked like a good move. For the first time in a long time, Palmer would have...

No Wagner, No Problem for Seattle’s Defense

(Seattle Seahawks Facebook Page)   Once again, the Seattle Seahawks will be without starting middle linebacker, Bobby Wagner. Having a high ankle sprain and a short week to recover did not bode well for number 54, who will be unable suit up Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals. Wagner, also did not feature in the Seahawks  20-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans in front...

Cardinals look for stretch of 'winnable games'

Arizona's offense was very bad last season and not much, if any, better through seven games this year. A new, offensive-minded coach and a new quarterback have yet to solve the issue that has been at the heart of the franchise's problems since Kurt Warner retired after the 2009 season. Now coach Bruce Arians and quarterback Carson Palmer are looking at a schedule over the...

Marshawn Lynch wasn’t too happy with the pass play on 3rd and goal

Marshawn Lynch was just doing what every fantasy owner of the Seahawks running back wanted to do when on 3rd and goal at the 1 yard line, Darrell Bevell dialed up a passing play instead of feeding Lynch. Marshawn Lynch definitely flipped off his own sideline after SEA called a pass on 3rd and 1 from the one-yard line. — Tyson Langland (@TysonNFL) October...

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals: 2013 Week 7 NFL Pick

Seattle Seahawks (5-1) at Arizona Cardinals (3-3) Ordinarily, the rule of thumb is to go against the Seahawks on the road. However, lately they’ve been a covering machine no matter where they are, including a 6-2 ATS record in their last 8 road games. Going back to 2007, they are 22-32 ATS on the road, but they have also never really had a problem covering as road favorites in...

Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Not pretty, but we got it done Perhaps it was the star power on the Seahawks sidelines that distracted the players, or maybe even the fact that the Tennessee Titans were using a backup QB. Whatever the reason ended up being, the Seahawks sure didn’t look like they did the last time we saw them at CenturyLink Field. Is it just me or does this team seem to be going backwards? Yes...

Complete with dawg collar and giant mohawk, this Arizona Cardinals fan rocked out during Thursday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Seahawks too much for Cardinals

Russell Wilson was a loser in his NFL debut in Arizona 13 months ago. Not so Thursday night. Wilson threw for three touchdowns, Marshawn Lynch rushed for 91 yards and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Cardinals 34-22. The Seahawks (6-1) intercepted two of Carson Palmer's passes, converting both into touchdowns, and sacked him seven times, twice by Chris Clemons, who had been questionable...

Seahawks (Friday) MMQB: At home in the desert

Seahawks win 34-22 I have watched a lot of Arizona Cardinals’ games over the years but I can’t remember the last time I heard the University of Phoenix Stadium as loud as it was tonight while the Cardinals were on offense.  It really sounded like the Seahawks were the home team, not the Cardinals. Seattle played like it too as they jumped out to an early 14 point lead. “Road...

Percy Harvin will Resume Practice this Week

Percy Harvin will be suiting back up for the Seahawks according to Ian Rapaport.  Not sure if the exciting wideout will be available to play on Monday night yet or not.   Source: #Seahawks star WR Percy Harvin scheduled to begin practicing next week. After hip surgery, he should play sooner, rather than later — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 17, 2013 No views yet

Will Ferrell Pleads With Pete Carroll To Return To USC, Leads Marching Band

(Brett Padelford/The Spirit Of Troy/Facebook) On Monday, Will Ferrell returned to his alma mater, USC, to speak with students at a charity event for “Cancer For College,” a scholarship program for young cancer survivors. The program was created by Ferrell’s fraternity brother and Trojan baseball alum Craig Pollard, who went through a second bout with Hodgkins-Lymphoma. Among...
