The Chicago Bears have added a name o their training camp roster. A day after they opened camp Chicago has traded a seventh round draft pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for defensive tackle Brian Price.
Price was a second round draft pick out of UCLA for the Bucs in 2010, a year in which they doubled up on defensive lineman (selecting Gerald McCoy third overall).
He's recorded just a total of 27 tackles but he's been hobbled by injuries in his two years with Tampa Bay and will join a Bears defensive line that needs pass rush.
Price recently went through great personal loss when his older sister Bridget Price was killed in a car crash back in May.
The injury woes shouldn't continue to be a problem and under Lovie Smith's defensive system, Price should flourish more so than he did in Tampa. He merely shoed potential in Tampa but was bogged down in Raheem Morris' garbled and confusing system.
It's not the first time the Bucs have dump...

Former Rutgers player Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed in 2010 but signed by the Bucs, retired so the team wouldn't be short a roster spot entering camp.
Eric LeGrand signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in early May knowing he could never play a down. Instead, his presence on the roster the past three months has signified the power of the human spirit.
His upbeat presence around One Buc Place has underscored LeGrands determination to achieve a dream following the 2010 football injury that left the then-defensive tackle for Rutgers...
Only one day into training camp and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a man down. Not a good way to start things off.
Third-year wideout Arrelious Benn has suffered another knee injury and appears likely to miss four weeks, which is basically all of training camp. Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio reports that a league source says Benn suffered a sprained MCL today during practice...
TAMPA, Fla. Defensive tackle Amobi Okoye walked off the field on his first day of Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp workouts, feeling right at home in the brutal heat and humidity.
For the 2007 No. 1 pick of the Houston Texans, the uncomfortable weather was nothing new.
It was hot, but I dont think its hotter than or more humid than Houston, Okoye said. Four years out there definitely...
Rookie Doug Martin has opened training camp with the Buccaneers as the No. 1 running back, according to Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times.
Martin has always been expected to beat out the disappointing LeGarrette Blount for the starting job, and remains on the right path in doing so. His bruising running style will be a great fit for head coach Greg Schianos offense...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded defensive tackle Brian Price to the Chicago Bears for a draft pick next year.
Price was a second-round pick (35th overall) out of UCLA by Tampa Bay in 2010. The 6-1, 303-pound Price has started 14 games over two seasons, with 27 tackles (23 solo) and three sacks.
The deal was announced Thursday, and details of the 2013 draft pick were not disclosed...
Trade for Buccaneers: Brian Price was a 2nd round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, but I still love this trade for them. Price played horribly last season, ranking 83rd at his position out of 89 on ProFootballFocus. The Buccaneers have adequate depth with Amobi Akoye and Gary Gibson, two underrated players, so he won’t really be missed much.
He was also having discipline problems. He’s...
Vincent Jackson has numerous offers but the one offer he doesnt have is from the University of Florida. Jackson talks about what side of the ball he might play and a Friday Night Lights.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that they have traded defensive tackle Brian Price to the Chicago Bears for an undisclosed 2013 draft pick.
On the field, Price has had plenty of problems during his first two seasons in the NFL. Selected as the third pick in the second round (35th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft, Price missed the final 11 games...
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- At 37 and entering his 16th NFL season, Ronde Barber is embracing the challenge of learning a new position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A five-time Pro Bowl cornerback who's making the transition to safety in first-year coach Greg Schiano's system, Barber not only is receptive to the move but excited about the team's prospects of rebounding from...
