Chicago Bears Weblog:
Today the Bears re-acquired former strong safety Chris Harris from the Carolina Panthers. In exchange for Harris, they traded linebacker Jamar Williams.
I like the deal, as we all know the Bears should have never given up Harris in the first place to make room for flop Adam Archuleta in 2007.
Also today, the Bears decided not to retain the services of director of college scouting Greg Gabriel. Or as profootballtalk calls it, they fired him.
The Harris trade was first reported by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. Nice work Brad, you continue to impress us, and we thank you for actually crediting www.bearshistory.com instead of ripping it off as other reporters have.
Welcome back, Chris. Glad to see you.
