DB coach John Hoke instructs S Craig Steltz Friday afternoon’s spirited practice closed out the public’s portion of training camp at Olivet Nazarene. However, much work remains to be done before the Chicago Bears kick off the regular season on Sunday, September 11 with a Soldier Field date against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bears will thin out the roster over the next week, cutting down from 87 to the mandated 70 man limit. A number of undrafted free agents have played well in Bourobnnais, hopefully boosting the Bears depth and allowing them an opportunity to further develop a handful of prospects over the next couple seasons. Middle linebacker Brian Urlacher returned to the practice field after sitting out with “soreness” the last two days. Veteran defenders Anthony Adams and cornerback Zach Bowman remained out.
