JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Chicago Bears survived the Florida heat and a slow start on offense for a rout of the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Cornerback Charles Tillman and linebacker Lance Briggs each returned interceptions for touchdowns for the second game in a row to spark the Bears to a 41-3 victory. It was the first time in NFL history that the same teammates had defensive touchdowns two games in succession. The Bears (4-1), who survived what may prove to be their most difficult stretch of the schedule with a share of the NFC North lead, broke a 3-3 tie with a short Robbie Gould field goal with 9:18 left in the third quarter. On the first play after the kickoff, Tillman picked off a deep Gabbert pass intended for Justin Blackmon and took it 36 yards to the end zone. Quarterback Jay Cutler (23 of 39 for 292 passing yards) threw touchdown passes to Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall on back-to-back possessions, in the fourth quarter. Briggs picked off a p...

While Cutler and the offensive line continue to find a groove, Urlacher and the defense are on fire.Cutler passed for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Film Room Breakdown: The Tillman Pick-6

With a little extra time with the bye week, I was going to study several different spots in the Chicago game with the coach's film and discuss the finer points of the Xs and Os scenarios before we move on to the Baltimore Ravens. I am guessing that the team is taking quite the opposite approach since they obviously need to focus on only what they can control - looking forward...

Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs have been Chicago Bears teammates for a decade, watching each other grow from talented rookies to entrenched starters to savvy veterans. Bears' defense keeps racking up points

How's this for an oddity? Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs have more touchdown catches than Calvin Johnson and as many as Larry Fitzgerald and Reggie Wayne. Well, sort of. Tillman and Briggs actually have two interception returns for touchdowns, and the Chicago Bears' defense has been racking up points of late at a rate that would make any high-powered offense envious...

Chicago Bears Maul Jacksonville Jaguars, 41-3

Although it was a tale of two halves in Jacksonville Sunday afternoon the Chicago Bears ultimately mauled the Jaguars, 41-3. Both team's first half offensive performances left a lot to be desired as they went into the locker room knotted at 3-3. However, prompted by normally soft spoken coach Lovie Smith's half time rant the Bears came out rejuvenated in the second half...
