The Chicago Bears won’t get wide receiver Johnny Knox back this season, but Alshon Jeffery is expected to return for the team in the next
two weeks, reports Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com.
"Alshon Jeffery
continues to get better," Bears coach Lovie Smith said on Monday.
"Don't know what his status will be this week, but we're getting closer as
each day goes by."
While coach Smith continued to be vague regarding Jeffery’s
broken hand, Wright has heard that the team is expected to hold him out of this
weekend’s contest against the Houston Texans as a “precautionary measure.”
Jeffery would then be projected to return Nov. 19 when the Bears take on the
San Francisco 49ers.
Knox has been out for the season while recovering from a
back injury sustained last year. Chicago had until yesterday to remove the
receiver from their physically unable to perform list, meaning he will miss the
entire rest of the season due to the injury.

Charles Tillman Should Be Applauded, Not Criticized, for Potentially Missing Game to See Child’s Birth
There are some moments in a man’s life that are cherished.
Believe it or not, however, some might say that playing the Houston Texans in Week 10 of the NFL schedule is not one of those moments, at least not compared to say, seeing the birth of a child.
With that obviously in mind, Bears cornerback Charles Tillman has already said that if his wife goes into labor this weekend, Tillman...
